A pile-up of football trajedy

What a weekend...for tv anyway!

1 Jul - Final score after penalty kicks

Portugal 3
England 1

First off, the England match was both edge-of-your-seat gripping and annoyingly frustrating all at once. Yes we did lose but at least we put a lot of passion and hard work into it, we did not go down with out a fight. Of course, there has to be an excuse for why we lost and already some are pointing the finger at Roony for his little pissy fit which got him the red card. Some are saying it was Sven, and others are saying the whole team are to blame. I disagree because when Roony was sent off, England had never played any better and watching Crouch and Lennon was some of the matches finest moments....sadly they got no where. It was all down to one thing, the fatal penalties. It is, and has been for many years, England's achilles heel. I believed that, bias as it seems, Portugal were not on form and instead England deserved to win. The image that will be remembered for a long time yet is the one with the injured Beckham crying as he sits and watches the match as England's dreams fades away.

The Formula 1 was nothing special but it was certainly better then the shit that we had to endure last year on the US grand prix. Schumacher took his fifth consecutive U.S. Grand Prix but was actualy cheered by the crowds which i was not expecting and it was the first time this year that Alonso did not finish on the podium. The biggest incident was at the start of the race between the two McLarens, Webber, Klien, Speed, Montagny and Heidfeld with a big pile-up.
